Drugs, Heroine Prescribed by Swedish Doctors, not again?

 

Heroin and drug abuse in general has left a deadly toll across this world, from Mexico, Nicaragua, Cambodia to America and every part of Europe and probably to a lesser extent in Africa, mainly because of less disposable or available income. If you think you’re hooked to food and can’t help yourself, then multiply it a hundred fold for heroine addiction slavery slippery slope. It has DSM classification in psychiatry and it deserves it.

It had to be the bloody Swedes again with their liberal views, I immediately get the reaction. Next they will be serving Mac Donald as a prescription from your local GP. Yep our clinic does exactly that, but we are not Swedish. 

Before you jump to conclusion we have to look at our own slate as doctors. In the medical field we have been dispensing heroine in the form of methyl prenidate (Ritalin) for as long as history records show. Ritalin to innocent kids who murder nobody looking for a fix is comparably gross.

The Swedes have led the way. The addicts are accessed assessed from the clinic that they use to get their daily dosage. Nobody gets robbed or infected in the mayhem, and the psychiatric intervention given during the brief encounter is supposed to make a real impact.

Pull the rug from under the drug cartel’s feet before they find ways to respond. The heroine if manufactured for same price as the Colombian farmer will deal a fatal blow to many if not all the distributors. 

We could even consider buying from the same farmers so as not to cause a drastic shift in their market or affect GDP of affected countries. 

A different approach or a fresh view at an old problem is needed and if Ritalin has to be our example. 

Illicit drug use of over the counter or sale of the pharmaceutical industry produced drugs by the cartel has so far not happened. Let the cartel come buy from legal distribution points and see if they will survive competition. 

Doctors seem to be better buyers of heroine than street addicts.
