Women and freedom, self inflicted thorn or is it us with testosterone

Women's day and the associated celebrations can only be a mockery if strong women don't step up to hoist the flag dropped by the heroes of the past sky high.

I have always found freedom in the bars that any system may see fit to impose in my path. Those can only serve as a stepping stone to see further.
When Zuma was asked to speak at a women day meeting, it left a deflated feeling within my earlier powered self. I am a man and that I see as a disqualifying factor to stand in front of women to lecture them about freedom.
I am the very example of why they are oppressed. I may have not physically abused one or any of such, but my colleague or friend or some animal did just that and I was not there to stop it.
I have looked at a woman and imagined something salivatory about her before my forebrain roped in my instinctual self. I am an animal and that can only be controlled by the awareness associated with the negative side of me. Power comes with responsibility.

I feel like I a traitor to quote another great man who once said that the delay in our emancipation has nothing to do with the heavy hand of the oppresors as NP or the government of the day, in fact opposite was true most times.
He said it all had to do with individuals who considered themselves innocent enough not to do anything about it.
The very ones who considered themselves liberal enough to wipe the tears off our faces when we bury the dead.
The very ones who sat on the fence as the brutality continued and wiped their hands clean. Lines had to be drawn.

The struggle as far as women emancipation is not over if you consider how many get raped daily by the very ones who claim to be liberal enough to wipe tears off their faces.
Any war against a defined enemy is half won. Any war against HIV without defining what it is that is at the root of the problem is futile.
All South Africans have every information they need to wipe HIV off the map.
What they need is the power to effect change as women.
What they need is hope to live till tomorrow without that daily struggle to provide basic needs and necessities.
What they need is hope to see another day as women.
Women have no power in the decision making about sex on any given day in rural Nongoma let alone Houghton where the man pays the bond.

Give the power to women to define the enemy and include me in that subset untill I proof myself not to be on the opposition side. More important, never ever let me the abuser to raise your flag for emancipation from oppression as women.
Never let a man who can summarily decide you enjoyed your rape ordeal to be a caretaker of your emotional wellbeing.

As I said testosterone is our enemy, we are disabled but that is within control of our frontal cortex.
That we don't do some things has more to do with our forebrain and civilization than with noble intentions and atruistic genetic make up..
Any self respecting man who has a wife and children should join the war from a respectable distance in the hope that these special women in his life should need not his physical presence to keep them safe and alive.
It should be as we pray daily, the forebrain of the very potential rapist himself that is the self restraint even when the is no policeman with a gun in sight.

If I die tomorrow, I should not have to ask my doctor to write HIV on my death certificate to save my wife from attention of the testoterone hounded. What about my kids safety, what about those who have ways of making sure they don't contract the HIV after sex even with a positive woman. What about the Strauss Khan's of today who may have enough money decide the justice systems direction?

I am ">beautiful and am proud to be and show it without need to cover it if a men appears.
