Leptin and How you can Accelerate your Fat Loss

Cheat days to accelerate fat loss is as scientific as any method we have ever employed in this blog or website. Beauty is not enough we maintain; you got to be healthy as well. Insulin, the very hormone that if elevated in the presence of adequate glucose makes you fat and unsightly is helped by leptin.

When insulin is raised leptin usually is as well but unlike insulin coming down as soon as you exercise the glucose into the cells or take cinnamon, leptin stays raised for much longer. That is exactly where you as a belly fat challenged individual need it. The good news is that to take it up from low levels takes only minutes.

High leptin levels increase your metabolic rate, the very same way the thyroid hormones that some doctors use very effectively in making you paper thin, work. Obvious problem with these thyroid hormones being that once you are on eltroxin you usually can’t get off; you will be dependent for life with all the side effects packaged in.

When you diet by withdrawing food, your leptin levels drops to almost zero and your metabolic rate grounds to a halt. This pushes your rate of fat loss that could have started at a reasonably high rate depending on how negative your caloric intake was, to a very low level. Your effective rate of say half a kilo loss on day one lessens to only 100 grams/day in seven days.
To push it back to half a kilogram a day you need a cheat day. Pizza or any high GI food will do the trick after just one meal and reset you at your previous rate and the cycle repeats.

Exercise should prefferably be in the form of high intensity anaerobics of any choice burst, interspersed with weight lifting recovery periods. The idea is not to be an efficient comrades runner but to lose fat.

The pathologically fat people like hypothyroidism, Cushing disease etc are not as common as insulin resistance. Medical advances and frequent blood testing by doctors makes them a tertiary hospital disease. If you exclude the iatrogenic group induced by doctors in the fight against obesity, hypothyroidism should be rare. It is controversial that obesity treatment and awareness could eliminate most of our day to day diseases and yet we seem to be losing the battle. The incidence of obesity is increasing even in the poorest of countries. The easiest of medical tools against diseases of the first world is losing its effectiveness while we trampling on the methods to reverse it because it is not in a patented pill.
